What would happen if Merlin were here…?

Once upon a time i was going back home , it was in the middle of the winter. It was –6C and my feeds started to shake. But still it was a long way to walk. A old man was walking towards me. I was a bit shocked when he asked: ”Help me ! “ first I couldn’t say anything but then I said : “For what ? what happed?” He said with a tired voice: ”I just came out from a cave it took me about two weeks to get out there.” First I thought he was kidding, but I saw his clothes were dirty and old , so I asked him: “ What do you want me to help you?” Even though I was scared I felt I should help him. He answered with a big voice: “ I come from Camelot, I’m a friend of King Arthur but I can’t remember everything. The only thing I remember is how I woke up in the cave.” The more I listened to him , the more I started to believe him. So I decided to show him a book about Merlin history. But then he told me, the story in the book is not the truth. So he took a pen and started to write the real story. When a book publisher read his book he was glad and soon Merlin became very famous and taught everyone his magic and everyone loved him and his magic.

And if he didn’t pass away , he would still teach today.

How to Save the Earth

The Earth is becoming hotter!

People are going crazy because they are so hot.

The Earth becomes hotter because we use too much energy. The Ozone is destroyed by smoke that blows up from cars and factories. People didn’t know that it can make a big problem. So we must do something to save our earth. It is not too hard to do it right! We can recycle, reduce and reuse resources.

Paper has two sides so we must use them both. If we use too much paper then the trees will be gone and the Earth becomes hotter. Make two sided copies whenever you need copies. Start a recycling program in your neighborhood. Recycle motor oil and batteries.

If you use too much light and too much electricity, its takes lots of energy and also costs money. We should turn off lights that don’t need to be on or buy low wattage or compact fluorescent light bulbs. Run clothes washers only when fully loaded , but don’t overload. Do all ironing at one time. Use cold water instead of hot. Take the bus , walk or ride your bike to meetings.

When we go shopping we should bring our own reusable bag to the store.

Because when we use too many plastic bags it will be hard to burn at one time and the smoke goes up and the earth become hotter. Bring your own reusable bag to the store. Buy products that will last. Make sure you take garbage to the bin. Reuse glass containers.

Why Sunflower Trilingual School?

The name of our school is Sunflower Trilingual School and the name says it all. The word “trilingual” means three languages. We teach Thai, Chinese, and English. We have many foreign teachers. We have Western teachers, Chinese and Filipino teachers. The school location is not that hard to find. The school is in Samut Sahkorn. The school has lots of trees. We’ve got a swimming pool, a separate basketball court, a multipurpose field and a well organized library. There are extracurricular activities, like Thai folk dance, modern dance, choir club, music, band, and all sorts of sports. All these activities it’s fantastic! Even teachers can have fun!

We have Chinese and English lessons everyday. Of course, the emphasis is on the English program. The English classes are separated into three classes. There are beginning classes, intermediate classes and advanced classes. The Chinese language program does the same thing.

We have a lot of foreign students too. We have Chinese, Taiwanese, German, British, Malay, Japanese and Korean students. The foreign students generally don’t know Thai when they first come so they have to take extra Thai classes. In about one or two years they can speak, write and read Thai very well.

Many students at Sunflower Trilingual School feel that Sunflower Trilingual School is their second home. You don’t need to worry that you can’t find friends at Sunflower. Everyone at Sunflower Trilingual School is friendly and kind.

Our school has won many times in Chinese and English contests.
